We were hired by the Waterway Department as responsible for preparing environmental studies and for complementing the dredging project for the Anhembi channel.

Located on the Tietê River, in the Barra Bonita Reservoir, near the city of Anhembi, the channel suffers from frequent levels of silting that make navigation on the stretch impossible. The Draga Anhembi consortium, led by LPC Latina, is in charge of assessing and monitoring depths, ensuring the ideal conditions for the operational draft, for the flow of vessels and the transportation of cargo for 12 months of the year.

The work is included in the Bottlenecks, Extensions and Terminals Program on the Rio Tietê Waterway, which ensures the modernization of the waterway modal, the benefits of which range from lower pollutant emissions to reduced traffic and road accidents.
